Per weekly lesson. A monthly membership is four lessons, charged in advance on the 1st: in-home 30 minutes is $220/month, 45 minutes $320/month, 60 minutes $400/month.
Founding Families: 10% off for a year.
The first 40 families to enroll get 10% off their membership for their first 12 months. Your teacher's pay doesn't change; we cover it.

Billing questions
The fine print, in plain English.
Love your first lesson, or your money back.
If the first lesson with your teacher isn't a great fit, tell us within 48 hours. We'll rematch you with a different teacher at no charge, or refund everything you've paid. Your choice. Your teacher still gets paid for their time; we cover it. That's how sure we are about who we send you.
A monthly membership is a flat amount, four times your per-lesson rate, charged in advance on the 1st. That covers 48 lessons a year; we take four weeks off (the week of July 4, Thanksgiving week, two weeks over Christmas and New Year's). The bill is the same every month, so there are no surprise "five-week months."
When do I pay?
When you enroll, before the first lesson: your first month (prorated to the day you start) or the full price of a lesson pack. Memberships then renew on the 1st of each month by bank draft or card. If the first lesson isn't a great fit, we rematch you free or refund everything you've paid.
Is there a registration fee?
No. No registration fee, no enrollment fee and no materials fee.
Do lesson packs save money?
Yes. Prepay 10 lessons and save 5%, or 20 lessons (our Semester Pack) and save 10%, compared with the monthly rate. Packs are good for 16 and 26 weeks, can be shared by students in your household, and never renew automatically. Unused lessons are refundable (what you paid, minus lessons used at the monthly rate), and anything left when a pack expires becomes account credit for 12 months.
Can I book a single lesson?
Yes, prepaid, mainly for adults and one-off sessions: $65 for 30 minutes in your home, $50 online. Weekly students save with a membership or pack.
What if we cancel at the last minute?
Cancel at least 24 hours ahead and you get a make-up lesson (in a pack, the lesson simply isn't used). Under 24 hours, or a no-show, the lesson is charged and your teacher is paid. Everyone gets one "life happens" pass per semester, and a sick student can switch to online up to 2 hours before.
Are there discounts for siblings?
Yes. Each additional student in the same household gets 10% off, and back-to-back in-home lessons never carry a travel charge. One discount per lesson; discounts don't stack.
Is there a travel fee for in-home lessons?
Travel is included when your teacher lives within about a 20-minute drive, which is how we match. If the best teacher for a rare instrument is farther away, we'll tell you up front; drives of 20 to 35 minutes add $5 per lesson, all of it to your teacher.
What if we need to stop?
Memberships are month to month: give us 30 days' notice and that's it. No penalty and no long-term contract.
Start with a guaranteed first lesson.
Love it, or we rematch you free or refund you in full. No registration fee.
