How it works

A great teacher, without the search.

Finding a music teacher usually means scrolling profiles, guessing, and hoping. We do the finding. You tell us about the student; we hand-pick a vetted teacher who fits and introduce you before the first lesson.

The setlist

Four steps to your first lesson.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the student

Two minutes online, or a quick call. Instrument, age, experience, goals, where you'd like lessons and when you're free. This is how we find the right person, not just the closest one.

    2 minutes
  2. 02

    We hand-pick your teacher

A coordinator calls you, usually the same day, for a 15-minute talk about goals, schedule and the right plan. Then we choose the teacher for the instrument, the style, the age and the personality. No scrolling through profiles.

    Within 1 business day
  3. 03

    Enroll in minutes

Pick a monthly membership or a prepaid lesson pack, e-sign the family agreement, and pay for your first month or pack. We introduce your teacher by text and email with a short bio.

    Same day
  4. 04

    Your first lesson

Your teacher gets to know the student and sets the first goals. Then it's the same teacher, same time each week, with a practice plan after every lesson. Not a great fit? We rematch you free or refund you in full.

    Usually within a week
Three ways to learn

Your place, theirs, or online.

Pick what fits your week. You can change it any time, and many families mix all three.

In your home

Your teacher comes to you, same day and time each week. No drive, no waiting room, no car-line shuffle. Kids learn on the instrument they actually practice on.

  • Switch between online and in-person
  • From $45 per 30-minute lesson
Every single lesson

What our lessons always include.

  • A goalEvery student has a clear goal for the next few months, set together with the teacher (and parents, for kids).
  • A practice planA short written note after each lesson: what you worked on and exactly what to practice.
  • Progress check-insRegular check-ins with parents and adult students on how things are going. If something isn't working, we change it.
  • The same teacher each weekConsistency matters. Your teacher is yours, at the same day and time, unless you ask for a change.

Showcases

Real stages, real nerves, real applause.

Playing for people is part of learning music. A few times a year we put students on stage at real Atlanta music venues with professional sound, lights and a house band when needed, run by our founder, who spent years as a touring music director.

  • Always optionalStudents play when they and their teacher are ready.
  • Every age and levelSix-year-olds playing their first song, teens with a band, adults who've never played for anyone.
  • Prepared, not thrown inTeachers build up to it: the song, the soundcheck, how to handle nerves.

Questions

How it works, in detail.

Love your first lesson, or your money back.

If the first lesson with your teacher isn't a great fit, tell us within 48 hours. We'll rematch you with a different teacher at no charge, or refund everything you've paid. Your choice. Your teacher still gets paid for their time; we cover it. That's how sure we are about who we send you.

Do I get to choose my teacher?

You don't have to browse profiles; finding the right person is our job. We choose the teacher who fits the instrument, style, age and personality, and introduce them by text and email with a short bio before the first lesson. If the fit isn't right, we rematch you at no charge, any time.

How fast can lessons start?

A coordinator contacts you within one business day. We aim to have a first lesson on the calendar within a week, depending on instrument, area and schedule. Rare instruments can take longer, and we'll tell you honestly.

Can we switch between in-home, studio and online?

Yes. Many families take most lessons at home and switch to online on sick days, travel weeks or bad-weather days. Just let your teacher know.

What happens if we need to miss a lesson?

Cancel at least 24 hours ahead and you get a make-up lesson. Sick at the last minute? Switch to online up to 2 hours before. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged, because your teacher held that time for you. Full lesson policies.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract. Monthly memberships are month to month: give us 30 days' notice to stop. Lesson packs are paid once and never renew automatically.

Ready when you are.

Tell us who's learning and what they want to play. A coordinator will call within one business day with a teacher in mind.
