Lessons for teens · Ages 13–18

Learn from people who actually do it.

Teenagers can tell who's real. Our teachers gig, record, produce and direct, and they teach the songs, sounds and skills teens actually care about, at home, in a real studio, or online.

Why teens learn with Stage Pass

Their music, done right

Pop, rock, R&B, hip-hop, worship, jazz, classical, metal. The songs they love, with the technique that makes them sound good.

Band, studio and stage skills

Playing with others, reading charts, working with a click, recording themselves, and getting comfortable on stage.

Audition and school goals

GMEA District and All-State auditions, school band and orchestra, musical theatre auditions and college music applications.

Make their own music

Songwriting and production lessons for teens who want to write, make beats and finish their own tracks.

How it grows

What lessons look like over time.

  1. 01

    Find the sound

Your teacher learns what they listen to and what they want to play, then builds lessons around it. The first goal is something they're proud of within weeks.

  2. 02

    Build real skills

Technique, theory that makes sense on the instrument, ear training, and practice habits that hold up when school gets busy.

  3. 03

    Play it for people

Recording a track, a showcase at a real Atlanta venue, an audition, or starting a band with friends. Music is meant to be heard.

Three ways to learn

Your place, theirs, or online.

Pick what fits your week. You can change it any time, and many families mix all three.

In your home

Your teacher comes to you, same day and time each week. No drive, no waiting room, no car-line shuffle. Kids learn on the instrument they actually practice on.

Questions

What parents and teens ask us.

Love your first lesson, or your money back.

If the first lesson with your teacher isn't a great fit, tell us within 48 hours. We'll rematch you with a different teacher at no charge, or refund everything you've paid. Your choice. Your teacher still gets paid for their time; we cover it. That's how sure we are about who we send you.

Can my teen learn the music they like?

Yes, and they should. Our teachers work in pop, rock, R&B, hip-hop, worship, jazz and classical. Fundamentals get taught through the music, not instead of it.

Do you help with GMEA or All-State auditions?

Yes. For band and orchestra students we match teachers experienced with Georgia audition requirements: scales, etudes, sight-reading and audition nerves. Start a few months before the audition if you can.

My teen wants to make beats, not learn an instrument. Is that a lesson?

Absolutely. Music production lessons cover a DAW like Ableton, Logic or FL Studio, sound design, arrangement and mixing. Atlanta is one of the most important production cities in the world, and our producers know it.

My teen took lessons as a kid and quit. Will this be different?

Often, yes. Teens quit when lessons feel like homework. A teacher who plays what they love and treats them like a musician changes that. If the first lesson doesn't click, we rematch you free or refund you.

Can teens drive to the teacher's studio on their own?

Yes. Students 16 and older can attend studio lessons on their own with a parent's permission. In-home lessons for anyone under 18 still need an adult at home.

Ready when you are.

Tell us who's learning and what they want to play. A coordinator will call within one business day with a teacher in mind.
